Post Game: Packers Defeat Seahawks 17-9

I realize the Seattle offense is not great but they averaged 22 points a game last year and the really struggled to get anything going. I am really excited about how good this D can be. Looking forward to the Atlanta matchup this time around.

Very impressive victory for the Packers today. They looked like a SB winning caliber team from what I saw. I loved the nastiness from Bennett and Daniels looked like a 1st team all pro this afternoon.

Studs: Definitely Daniels
Defense as a whole played much better than I ever expected them too.
I really believe that the forced fumble changed the game and the Offense started to get something going in the 2nd half.

Duds: OL which led to 4 sacks. Also, not sure of what the game plan was for the 1st half. Rodgers said that nothing they did in the 1st half worked.

There are very few teams in the NFL that I can't stand - Seattle, Dallas and Patriots. Seattle is the top of my list.
So glad that we were able to beat them.pc)

BTW, with the ejection of....I think his name was Lane, when they showed the replay it looked like Davante started it by grabbing his mask. I saw the arm across the helmet but it did not look like a punch to me. Just sayin.

I forgot. Stud - Bennett going after the player that put the extra hit on Aaron. I think the Packers were willing to take the penalty as long as it didn't cost them a first down.CLP)

I liked that too, and I think Rodgers did of course also. Didn't seem to upset with Bennett after that play lol.

This is what the Pack needs. Bennett is a big dude and I would hate to get him mad. Nice downfield blocking by him as well.

Defense played well. They seemed instinctive and fast which is a surprise. Hopefully They can continue to play like that. Offense should catch up. They played a tough defense and I'm sure the limited reps of preseason may have been affecting them.

Defense definitely. Stuffing their running game set the tempo. Daniels dominated the guards and Perry knocking their LT on his a** early really set the tone. Kudos to Jake Ryan. He gets dissed a lot on forums, but he played a really solid game.
The offense didn't do as bad in the first half as it seems. They started near or inside their own ten yardline four times in a row? Hard enough to move the ball on Seattle's defense without starting field position like they had to deal with. Maybe if ARod keeps getting stepped on he will start taking the quick slant and crossing routes more often. That was one sweet pass to Jordy for the score on the free play.
Vogel did a nice job not letting them return punts. Kickoff coverage seemed a little scary. Lockett is just too quick.
Big Win. We out muscled a very physical team. Much to be happy about. Next week will be a whole different challenge.

Agreed on the D playing very well. I am not going to get super excited just yet. It is one game and Seattle has a horrible o-line. Having said that, holding an NFL team to no TD's in a game is tough to do.

Offense was definitely rusty. Especially, AR. He had open guys and did not find them. A combination of being jittery due to the o-line's struggles pass blocking and not being able to run the ball. I will once again point out, we got going offensively when we started throwing quicker crossing routes and to the RB's out of the backfield. It is amazing how AR and MM continue to ignore that until they absolutely have to go to it. rant)

Special teams was overall solid. Yes, Locket was worrisome on the kickoff returns; however, Locket is just that good. Crosby solid and the holding was solid.
Vogel was very solid as well for his first game. Let's see how he does as the weather changes.

Overall for the first game not too much to complain about. Offense hopefully will get more in sync. I just hope the defense can finally be consistent and show us something.
