Named All-Pac-12 First Team... Accepted a Reese’s Senior Bowl Invite, the premier college football all-star game... Led the Wildcats offensive line in total blocking grade (84.3), run-blocking grade (77.0), and pass-blocking grade (87.3) per PFF... His overall offensive blocking grade (84.3) was fifth in the Pac-12 and his pass-blocking grade (87.3) was also fifth in the Pac-12... He allowed only two sacks in 787 snaps over 12 games... Helped lead an offensive line that paved the way for the 20th ranked total offense (448.0), 8th ranked passing offense (308.3), and 18th ranked scoring offense in the nation (34.6 ppg)... Helped the Wildcats finish 5th in the nation in red zone offense (93.0%), 8th in 3rd down conversion percentage (48.8%), tied for 14th nationally in 4th down conversion percentage (66.7%), and 10th in team passing efficiency (164.97)... Arizona's offensive line led the Wildcats to a 10-3 season and a 38-24 win over No. 12 Oklahoma in the Valero Alamo Bowl... The nine-win improvement from 2021 to 2023 marked the largest win improvement over two years in program history... 2022: Started 10 games in his fourth season with the Wildcats… Posted a 82.0 pass-blocking rating which was 33rd in the nation per Pro Football Focus... Ranked 21st in the nation in offensive blocking with a rating of 83.1... 36th nationally in run-blocking with a rating of 78.6... Allowed one sack in 670 total snaps including 443 passing snaps... Posted a 97.8% efficiency rating... Helped make time for the Wildcats sixth-ranked passing offense and 21st ranked total offense, averaging 30.8 points per game… Provided time for QB Jayden de Laura to pass for 400-plus yards in two games; first 401 yards at Cal (9/24); second 400 yards at Washington (10/15).

2021: Played and started in the final 11 games of the season … Missed the season opener due to injury but was the full-time starter at left tackle the rest of the season.

2020: Started Arizona’s first two games of the season at left tackle before missing the final three games of the COVID-19 shortened season due to an injury… Helped pave the way for big rushing games by Wildcat backs that included 158 yards against USC (11-14-2020).

2019: Appeared in six games on the offensive line with two starts at left tackle as a true freshman...Appeared in the first three games of the season, Hawai’i (Aug. 24), Northern Arizona (Sept. 7) and Texas Tech (Sept. 14) in a reserve role and on special teams...Appeared again in a reserve role against Oregon State (Nov. 2)...Made his first collegiate start at left tackle at Oregon (Nov. 16)...Started again in season finale at ASU (Nov. 30).

High School: Earned varsity letters at Marana High School in Marana, Ariz., under head coach Louis Ramirez…Helped team to state playoffs in three consecutive seasons (20016-18)…Earned an All-State honor…Also saw action along defensive line, totaling 30 tackles…Also competed as a shot put thrower in track and field.

Personal: Son of John and Anna Morgan…Has one sister, Victoria, and one brother, John…Member of high school honor roll...Majoring in Criminal Justice Studies.
 
Yeah people wondering if he's a OG instead of OT because of short arms. I think he can play OT. Like the pick. OL was major need need to protect your franchise QB.
 
Poor choice in the first round. Need to make these high picks where we need starters.....and we do better in mid rounds for OL.
 
They must think he can play tackle better than Barton. Either one i think they were going to start outside
I don't think Barton was ever going to play OT he was OG or or Center and in TB sure seems like he is going to be put at OC right away.
 
agree 100%. i think they could have traded down and still got him, but everything i read sounds like he will be a starting left tackle for years.
Need to find another team wanting to trade down with. No one may have wanted to come up and offer anything to GB worth while.
