I think this going to June 1st, or whatever the date is when his cap hit potentially goes way down. I think Rodgers wants to be back if he can do it on his terms, including keeping certain guys on the team and more front-loading of his restructured salary. His cap number is all but prohibitive...
I will say 11-5 only because there is so much unknown going in, look if Rodgers and the starting 11 get exposed by a guy in the hotel they are staying at and have to miss two weeks then we lose 2... ditto on defense. So many quirks it's impossible to truly know how it plays out.
Not happening, I have family in Oakland and they are only half serious about going out and getting a franchise. I doubt we ever see pro football back in Oakland.
LaFleur wasn’t the sole decision-maker when it came to hiring assistant coaches, Tom Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Done deal: The #Packers and Matt LaFleur agreed to a four-year contract with a fifth-year option, source said. Strong numbers for a first-time coach. They got their guy.

What it sounds like to me too. Honestly I don't know how Moss was able to survive as long as he did with how **** our linebackers have been over the course of a decade.
A lot of guys can go 10-6 and win a playoff game every 2 seasons with Aaron Rodgers at QB. Which is essentially what McCarthy did in Green Bay. Make no mistake, Mike McCarthy is not a good NFL head coach and never was.
If you take away 2010, Mike McCarthy won 6 playoff games in 12 seasons and...

Saw some good things from the defense and they played well enough to win.
thumbsdown))
Offense didn't take advantage of the defensive play in the first half and the safety was a killer.
Special teams are pure podo( and it'll likely take a coaching change to fix them. Jury still...
In a "What have you done for me lately?" league/world, this organization consistently asks "What did you do for me 10 years ago?"
Our insistence on keeping a clearly senile Thompson, and now a stagnant McCarthy, and to a lesser extent ineffective players like Clay/Cobb/Bulaga based on past...
Would still try to get a DB of some sort. Saw a couple mocks that had either Ward, JJax or Roq available at 14 and Landry/Hughes within at least striking distance. Man, if they could manage a combination of those 5, I'd be thrilled.
IT's not too hard to guess what happened. Van Pelt wanted to be an OC, so he let the Packers know he was going to let his contract expire. Rodgers and everyone else knew this. Probably Van Pelt and maybe Rodgers had some expectation that Van Pelt would be hired by the Packers as OC (or at least...
I can see using Jones and Williams in a rotation but a #3 back needs to be drafted or picked up as a FA. Monty as others have said should go back to a WR/KR role.
I am not a fan of getting hiring Russ Ball. Its no secret that I dislike TT but theres something to be said for a scout GM constantly on the road perosnally doing the scouting. I just think he sucks at it but his intentions were good.
I dont see Russ Ball going out on the road and going to all...
