The game was not lost on a bad call on 4th and inches
The game was not lost on dropped ints
The game was not lost on the final picked pass
The game was not lost by Savage or Carlson or the long snapper
All these could have been overcome
The game was lost on Zach Tom getting hurt and the fact...
It's really hard for me to imagine anyone who TRULY saw this coming.
Even in the pre-season predictions, the most positive ones, whatever...did anyone think Love would be throwing the ball like THIS? That this offense would be capable of this?
It's amazing. They bucked the schedule-winning...
Nice to see MLF and Love clicking on the plays. Reed continues to look impressive. Welcome Bo Melton - passing up Heath and Toure on the team... played better than Doubs too. Kraft continues to be impressive. Jones looked like he was back and healthy. We didn't miss Jaire or Stokes at CB at...
It's really easy to blame this on Joe Barry because, in the end, when has a Joe Barry defense done anything to seal a game? This being said, and I really dislike Joe Barry and his soft as Charmin scheme...
IF you're going to blame this loss on Joe Barry:
1) Keisean Nixon (who also muffed the...
Jordan Love, fresh off the bench for the past 3 seasons needs to average 233yds passing per game for the next 6 weeks and he’ll have 4,000yds passing in his first season as a starter. The Chicago Bears have been around since 1920 and none of their QBs have ever accomplished this rofl(chicago sux
Interesting game... The Chargers really beat themselves out there, but our offense's best game in a long time.
Love: Clearly his best game and putting together back-to-back good games. Had a few high throws, but clearly out-played Herbert.
Reed - Anyone lamenting the draft pick now? We need...
Overall impressions:
1. Love is actually getting some incredible plays. That last long pass, he really didn't have enough room to throw the ball. Yet he's off balance and gets it 40 yards downfield and on target. Plays like that are why you keep this kid and train him up.
2. That last play...
This team is 1-3 without its best offensive player in Jones, and that lack of a credible run threat is what lead to the defender being in position on the first interception. (Don't know how the regular MNF looked at it, but the Mannings did a good job of showing the linebacker not biting at all...
My over all analysis on yesterdays game after reflecting:
Have to keep things in perspective a little bit and realize that 2-2 with some ups and down is about where I expected us to be right now. I don't have super high expectations from this season. Jordan looks like he could be the guy but he...
What an amazing game.
Jordan Love through two weeks proved...he could be a competent QB. He could be a guy who could manage a game in the way Brock Purdy could.
This game he showed he is CAPABLE of being an elite QB. There were SEVERAL balls he threw that the idiot calling the game made no...
The "if we just made this play, this play or this play, it changes everything" argument could be made in almost any game. Yeah, Ridder made some mistakes that we didn't take advantage of. Love also threw one in the 4th on 3rd down that could have been a pick 6.
I just think when you allow 450...
I love how Alexander and Douglas play from snap to whistle... not so much after though. They need to cool off on the post-play crap.
Walker would make a great RB...just don't give him the ball at the goal line. Not sure why he dance down the line instead of plunging in. Would've been safer...
Very few notable performances from players on the bubble.
I'd move Ballentine into the 53, SJC off.
Wilson-An ugly stat line, but the 2nd/3rd OL just didn't open any holes. I'd still keep him, but I suspect they'll start the year with 2 RBs, Taylor and Wilson on the PS.
Carpenter looked...
The safety position...unless we get an unexpected contribution from Savage and then move Douglas(which seems unlikely)...I don't know what the plan is.
1st-Get Stokes back. The CB position at the moment should afford him plenty of opportunity to take his time, but outside of that, you have...
About as fun of a Pre-season game as I've seen in a long time. It reflected the youth and excitement around the team.
QB-Both Love and Clifford looked good.
Love was sharp. Very clean. One mistake came trying to force the ball to Watson vs Cover2. That's just a play that comes with experience...
If they don't catch the injury bug and get key guys back like Gary and Stokes at a reasonable time during the year, their schedule alone is going to have them competing for a playoff spot. If Love plays well winning the division is a definite possibility. Even if he plays poorly early on but...
Here's a depth chart listing of rostered QBs across the league
https://www.ourlads.com/nfldep...rts/depthchartpos/QB
Teams will max out their QB room from May - August and then some are cut loose, others sent to PS. Some of these vets can be too spendy.
Jets have 4 QBs right now, fair chance...
