LT I think depends on the team feels about Zach Tom replacing Bak. Safety it seems there usually is never that special safety worth taking in the 1st. Though I could see them go Edge rusher if they decide it's time to move on from Preston Smith. Or even RB if there is one there worth a 1st round grade as both Jones and Dillon could be gone next season.

An interesting point here. If Tom was an 80, and Bakh a 90, but Tom's salary over an extended period is 35% of what you're paying Bakh, does it make sense to dump Bakh, and use that 65% of the bloated salary to shore up other positions, by upgrading talent?

This is the dilemma faced every day by those making the decisions when it comes to balancing the cap and the team's needs.

It isn't money ball, it's the reality that you need to fill all positions with relatively good players, not put all your money into a handful of guys and leave holes out there.
