Packers lose scout to Browns

The Browns hired Packers scout Glenn Cook as their new assistant director of scouting.

For teams like the Green Bay Packers, prolonged success often means other teams look to siphon off staffers from the personnel department in an attempt to replicate that success. On Tuesday, the Cleveland Browns announced the hiring of Packers pro scout Glenn Cook as their new assistant director of scouting.

Cook spent the previous four years in Green Bay after working as a scouting assistant with the Indianapolis Colts and a graduate assistant with the University of Miami (Fla.). Prior to entering the scouting world, Cook played four seasons with the Miami Hurricanes, letting all four years.

The Packers have lost personnel department talent periodically since beginning their seven-year run of playoff appearances. Front-office assistants John Schneider, Reggie McKenzie and John Dorsey all went on to become general managers with the Seattle Seahawks, Oakland Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs respectively. Green Bay has also occasionally lost lesser-known staffers to larger roles on other teams, such as Lee Gissendaner to the New York Jets last offseason.

Hee-Hee it's true, the Cleveland Browns have to be the most garbage modern day team in the entire NFL. Mike Doldrem has done a swell job for them.
If it wasn't for their history and hard core fanbase, I wouldn't pay attention to them at all.

The Bills have to be right up there with the Browns. The Bills have not been to the playoffs this century yet.
