The Packers, fresh off an impressive 17-9 win over Seattle last Sunday, travel to Atlanta for the opening of Mercedes Benz Stadium and a rematch of last year’s NFC Championship Game with the Falcons.

Here’s how the staff of bobmcginnfootball.com sees the game unfolding.

Bob McGinn: Both defenses are undersized. They’ll be living dangerously trying to take care of the run game with reduced boxes. The success of the respective front sixes against the run and the willingness of the respective offensive play-callers to stay with the run might be telling.

Charlie McGinn: Establish the run and get off the field on 3rd downs. If Green Bay can do both of those things they will have a chance to walk out of the new Mercedes Benz Stadium with a W. Let the Super Bowl hype begin. Green Bay 31, Atlanta 28.

Rob Reischel: Matt Ryan badly outplayed Aaron Rodgers in the NFC Championship Game. If that happens again, Green Bay has no chance. The Packers’ defensive backs have to find a way to contain Ryan’s wideouts and pressure the steely Falcons’ quarterback. Rodgers and Green Bay’s offense — which has been held scoreless in the first half their last two outings — must also start fast. Atlanta 33, Green Bay 27

Mark Eckel: The loser of the Super Bowl traditionally starts slowly the next season. Carolina was 1-5 last year; Seattle was 2-4 in 2015. You saw it with the Falcons in a less-than-stellar performance in Chicago last week. Despite the opening of their brand-new Mercedes Benz Stadium, the Falcons continue to suffer that Super Bowl hangover. Green Bay 28, Atlanta 20.

How I see it is that GB didn't learn anything from last year's loss. The Falcons are the benchmark. GB is short at this point.
