NIL - Texas style

A "degree completion fund" . . . isn't that basically what they're already getting with their scholarships?
and 50% of the sports revenues, is that before or after expenses? And . . . so forget water polo or golf . . . .
Just another way to get kids more $$

With NIL will be near impossible to ever get anything universal I think with each state having different laws that will make it eaiser to give kids deals might never have a level playing field again

That’s why splitting off the P5 would circumvent that. Give them the power of enforcement. Right now they are at the mercy of the NCAA who is and will be incompetent

Would the P5 even do that or would the kings at the top say screw that we won't want to give up our power to be able to stay at the top

Yeah because the P5 has no parity either. The 2 conferences that have clout are the SEC and B1G. Rest is basically along for the ride.

Form 3 “Super Conferences”, control revenue and make your own guidelines. Eureka

Seems though SEC is the real player who would make all the rules since they have all the big teams for most part

I see so many things wrong with thinking the revenue stream will remain high for the top conferences, and be so little for lesser ones. I just wouldn't know where to start addressing it.

If hard pressed, I'd have to say that the people who follow the WAC, as an example, don't give a rip about what's happening in the SEC if they aren't part of the same program, and will no longer watch their games. They'll choose WAC games, and conferences that are equal to theirs, to watch. Since they will probably even be in different paid TV packages, they wouldn't bother with the big guys.

Just saying, I know I would do that. I already do in baseball. I don't give a rip about other teams, so just have the MLB package for the White Sox. I can read about the rest, don't give a damn about the rest.

I would also do the same thing with a Sunday Ticket offering that allowed me to pick the Packers. I also do this with the Bucks for my NBA package.
