NIL - Texas style

Now the gorilla in the room. The SEC & B1G would need equal or greater than their take today to get rights deals done. Would networks pay that plus a major increase to ACC , PAC 12 and Big 12 schools? It’s not a lock
This is why I think to many issues for it to happen to much greed

The challenge is how do you make a P5 system in football work with basketball. It’s almost impossible. Schools like Villanova, Marquette, St John’s need to be incorporated into some revenue stream. Some of these, well all of them actually are football + basketball as to TV rights. Especially the Field of 64
Could you have a football only power 5? Like how ND joins the ACC for BB?

Also read that divisons can now be eliminated in football do any conf do that with the title game being a money maker?

Maybe there will be totally realignments based on specific sports. As it is, not all schools in conferences are competitive in all sports. As an example, Wisconsin doesn't have baseball, and Iowa doesn't have hockey. They deal with a work around, but we could actually see conferences made up of teams based on each sport, rather on a total alliance of schools as a conference.

In the end, the whole thing will be about money. It always is. Before this is through, there will be some schools who quit offering scholarship sports, because they won't be competitive, and won't make enough from their media money and game attendance to stay in business.

But hockey still is in the B1G and so would baseball. Example. Schools like Butler, Houston , Villanova who would not be P5 football how do classify them ? What about an independent like BYU? So many small conferences are auto qualifiers for the hoops tournament they rely on that revenue for existence. The next NCAA Grand Poobah will have to figure that out. CBS pays the NCAA an obscene amount of money just for March Madness. Just the Big East schools make things challenging

There will be title games. How they determine teams will be to each individual conference. And actually they don’t all make money

Actually, Wisconsin was in the WCHA until the Big 10 got enough schools involved. Maybe they go back to those old realignments. There's nothing that says it wouldn't work. It did in the past.

It's going to be very interesting.
