Next Badgers Football Coach

Monken probably fits what Alberts wants, Boosters probably like Ruhle as the “sexy” hire. One thing I’ve heard is whoever gets the job is that they want Mickey Turner retained on the staff FWIW
Monken is probably the best coach for the job honestly, his approach would stabilize them longterm.

I would agree with that. More physical style which is probably what Alberts wants.

I'd imagine most candidates would be a little leery about the situation if they would be required to keep Mickey Turner on board. It's almost like they're telling him that he's the "interim coach," while Mickey prepares himself to take the job from him when offered. He'd probably feel like he was nothing more than a bridge, to a new beginning.

According to the report, Wisconsin also considered Baylor’s Dave Aranda and Kansas’ Lance Leipold for the head coaching job. Aranda is a former Wisconsin defensive coordinator and Leipold coached UW-Whitewater for several seasons, making an impression on the Wisconsin officials.
Told ya it was Aranda FlaPack

I don't think they've forgotten the 3 years that Dave Aranda gave them as DC. He's one heckuva coach. He's going to turn Baylor into the star of the Big 12, and keep them there. Right now, the biggest question from what I've heard, is if Grimes is the right guy to be his OC.

He has the pedigree, experience, and has shown he's a winner.

But, it would be difficult prying him away from Baylor I believe.

The key to Leonard who he gets out to fill out his offensive staff. I doubt we see much change to to the defense as he will likely keep that the same. But will he be able to find a good person to run this offense? There is not much there and it's pretty much a total rebuild there. Getting a top notch guy to run your offense with it's current state might be hard.

A lot of different ways he could go there. Getting a real RB coach and maybe hiring an OC with QB coaching experience would be a great start.
