Official Week 9 Green Bay vs Chicago Thread

All things considered, this is a game GB has to have. GB won't be facing a decent QB this week which plays in our favor.

17-13 snooze fest, GB wins.

LOL - The Bears won't be facing a decent QB either.

I think the Bears D is able to shut down our offense and that the Bears use enough screens and short passes that our slow LB's get beat allowing Bears to move the ball.

Chicago 24

Green Bay 13

The Bear's offense is not as potent as the last couple we have faced so I think GBP's number above is about right. I'm going to say the offense plays just a little better with a final score of 23-20 Bears.

I love your consistent optimism, Mark!

Optimism? ... I want to know what he's drinking! Anything that generates that much optimism needs to come out of a bottle, and probably has a worm or weed in the bottom. Mark just ain't sharing.............. :(

LOL no booze involved. Chicago is pathetic... on paper it's not even close. Green Bay has their back against a wall. Lose this game and they have 3 division losses and 5 in the NFC, even a late comeback won't matter much because we lose about every tiebreaker. Gotta have a W

When you put it like that, this could be considered a must win, let's hope the locker room has the same sentiments.

I agree Mark. This is as much of a "must win" game as we're going to see. Another loss in the division and we're toast. We're down one to both the Vikings and Lions, and a loss to the Bears would pretty much end things from a point of winning the division, and if we didn't win the division, I doubt we'd even make the playoffs.

I kind of wonder what will happen Sunday. Even the cutting of Bennett plays into this scenario. We've heard he was a problem in the locker room, heard he was a good influence, heard a lot of things, but I don't know if his being gone will have any team effect. I'd say, from the standpoint of Kendricks, it's probably a boost, because he should now become our #1 TE. Richard Rodgers would be #2? Just a guess here. It's all McCarthy's decision.

I still can't get behind the Packers, but I do understand the urgency you've posted. I just wonder if the Packers can live up to that responsibility.
