Rodgers Wants Out

The one thing that hasn’t been added to the equation in this discussion is the outside chance that a team(s) starting QB goes down in camp with a season ending injury and they want AR now, damn the torpedoes.
It could spark a few other teams to jump into a bidding war because of scarcity of quality and drive up his value now.

Not saying that’s a given, but it should be factored into the discussion.

Now that's an interesting scenario. Worth at least another 50 pages out here. ;)

which was my point above that the market will increase next year, now I dont think he is going to have his "choice" where he lands, cant see that happening
Could that be part of promise by FO to get him in? Say hey come in don't cause any issues we will work with you next year to get you to were you want to go.

3 1st round picks plus 2 players please since you are bent over the barrel LOL

But many teams have already considered that in this year's contracts - a lot of money has been pushed out to later years because of the low cap this season.
and with the cap increasing in 2022 and beyond they can again restructure some contracts and adjust. If there s a silver lining in Rodgers contract for other teams they can adjust the base to a signing bonus in 2022 and get some significant relief if pushing to voidable years is in their plans..

So quick math, he is due $50m in 2022 and 2023 which is in line with cash out. Lower the base to $5m, $45m prorate over 5 gives you $9m per year. So at worst hit is $14m, saves $11m. Then to sweeten the pot, add some roster bonus to the deal,

I would hope not to be candid

So crazy thought. Packers tag Adams in 2022. Then work out trade with Raiders were Rodgers and Adams go as package deal to Oakland. Raiders trade Carr to whomever Packers get back 2 1st and Ruggs.

What ever you are drinking or smoking I want some...I have a better chance on winning the lottery

Why not? Would that not be a good way to work with him kind of a compromise for this year?
I want every bullet in my belt to make the best deal not one where I am in a corner with 1 - 2 teams
