Post Game Packers Rally Defeat Bears 28-19

It feels like most every Sunday this year but more fun. Still a lot of the same problems. The defense still was a problem, it's just that the Bears suck real bad and so killed themselves in the end. Don't get me wrong, it's good to beat a bad Bears team and I'm happy with the win. It's just that I don't feel any different about this Packers team, or this season. They aren't a good team and won't make the playoffs.

I did like some individual things I saw. Watson continues to impress with his high level playmaking. Zach Tom held up pretty well at LT. Not sure he's the future starter at LT, but he's starting to at least look like a solid depth guy/swing tackle. AJ Dillon had another solid game which makes me wonder what was going on for all those weeks he was mediocre. Same with Kenny Clark, who's been AWOL for weeks.

Happy with the win, and the improving offense. Hope for 2-3 more wins. Realistically though, the season is over when we get to game 17.
In terms of Dillon the bears DL really stinks …. It’s probably more telling that Dillon can’t get going against good teams.

I'm co-chairman of the board at AJ Dillon Is The Most Overhyped Player In The NFL Inc., but he's been running noticeably harder and behind his pads the past two weeks and he's been hitting the cutbacks much better. DL quality or not, he's been playing better. Now what good is a co-starter that doesn't find his game until December? I dunno, above my pay grade...

He’s a nice piece but he’s not a feature type back like Henry. He’s one guy who’s embraced GB and the area and yeah fans will latch on to that and get the overhype narrative. I get it.

Now how he fits with Love and how that system evolves is the million dollar question

I agree with all of you that nothing has really changed.

The defense still allows over 150 yards on the ground. The more I see this defensive line play the more I believe that Reed and Lowrey should be gone after the season and we need to draft high for d-line. Clark will start to slow down in a year or two. Heck, maybe he already is. We have no one else at this point. Another position, we have absolutely ignored in the draft except this year and Wyatt is a big if right now.

The offense has improved over the last two or three games. Watson has made a big difference in the passing game and now with Doubs coming back after the bye, we get to see what the future possibly looks like. The o-line has also started to play better. It's good to see Tom settling in a little. I am still not sure about Meyers at Center and Runyan at RG but they played better yesterday.

I have a feeling Rodgers will continue to play after the bye. Rodgers said he would understand if they sat him the rest of the way but does want to play. From what I read it looks like they are letting Rodgers make more of the decision to play or not. Once again, no balls to tell AR it is time for us to play the young guys. I would not doubt if we do not see Love until the last week.

I have to go back and watch but my impression is that he really needs a running head start and that his productive plays come when the QB is under center. Back in early MM days they used to do that pitch back form under center with Grant that was really effective, but I guess in this style offense though you don’t want to give up the sell on play action?

As you say, how that fits with Love remains to be seen

Since the start of the "rebirth" era in 1992. GB is now 48-13 against the Bears. Back in 1992 the Bears were up as many as 24 games all time on the Packers. GB now 10 games up all time.

To me it's still the tale of 2 halves. Either they play well in the first and lousy in the 2nd. Or lousy in the first and much better in the 2nd.

I continue to be impressed with Watson. It seems like he is getting more comfortable out there.

When Doubs comes back if he can pick up where he led off, we could have some good receivers.

I only remember Rodgers throwing to Tonyon once. I wish they would incorporate him a little more.

I thought that both RBs played well. But it looked like Jones was fighting through some injury.

All in all a great way to enter the Bye.
