2025 Badger Football Thread

I'm probably in the minority here, but I don't see the big deal in sign stealing. I wouldn't want somebody stealing my signs, so I would be working on protecting them from prying eyes.

I've watched and heard the 'MI Sign Stealer.' It seemed to be more based on tendencies and game flow. Protect your signs.

I'd be trying to steal signs. I'd be protecting my signs.

I believe everybody did it. For a while, MI did it better
It's overblown. Most teams have variations and change it up by qtr. Now that they are moving to headsets it's not a big deal.

Only winning 17-0 vs Miami of Ohio? This team is as bad as we have thought. They are only going to win 1 or 2 games in the big ten and be a 3-4 win team overall.

I believe our Maryland starter was starting to find his rhythm and then unfortunately got hurt. If he didn't get injured I think we were on the way towards a big day.

Then when our San Diego State guy replaced him - not Sunshine - he was bad, very bad, initially. AND, our offensive coordinator brilliantly decided 2 plays in to the new guy was the right time to run a drive destroying dumbass trick play which was summarily blown up for about a 10 yard sack loss by a Miami player named Trick - can't make this up. Then SDSU guy plays bad but gets a smidge better and no more dumbass plays. Bucky moved the ball. It wasn't pretty. I think it will get better.

Bucky defense played much better. Not happy with initial tackling on the quarterback but Bucky swarmed and got him.

Ugly win, but through adversity many positives. I think Bucky may surprise people and get to a bowl game. I think it's going to be close.

Reading a lot about how after 1 fight through adversity win against a Mid Major, Bucky's gonna pound our little fish in the pond Saturday and beat 'Bama the following week. I read Barry Alvarez said Bucky might even be favored against 'Bama.

My rose colored glasses are hoping for a win this weekend and hoping that Bucky doesn't lay down against 'Bama and at least puts up a fight.

Bama got beat by FSU. I guarantee you Bama is going to be looking to stomp a mudhole in the non-conference before they start conference play to send a message.

The problem is they go on the road vs UGA the next week.... they MUST be 100% for that game, it's possible they rest some guys. Bama can be run on at has big issues with mobile QB. Let Danny O'neil wildcat the crap out of them.

So ugly big win today.

I hate that Bucky just doesn't appear to show up on minute 1 mentally and physically ready. I don't understand it.

But, this team appears different than the past couple of years. These guys just keep chugging.

They are 1/3 of the way to the Bowl Game nobody thinks they can get to.

Unlike the past few years when Bucky showed up to a Big Game already defeated with their tails between their legs. This Bucky has some fight. I'm not saying we beat 'Bama, but we're not beaten yet.

This OL might be the worst in years if not decades. They were getting dominted against a team that should be leagues below them. If this OL can't become much much better the Big Ten DL's will destroy them. Also the DB's my gosh it seems that most the time they forgot CB 101 and that is to turn your head to the ball.
