Post Game: Baltimore runs over GB

Bud issue is almost all GM's want to pick there own guy. First time GM yeah you can force a coach on them they don't get to pick. But if you are hiring a vet GM they could say if I don't get to pick my coach or have say in roster why do I want this job.
Then so be it. It would be great to keep ML, but if he goes with Gute to get an accomplished GM, that still is better than replaying the same old tired record year after year that gets us barely into the playoffs, but never any further.

If the 7 seed didn't exist, we would be out of the playoffs four years in a row. Does that change the conversation around Gute, ML, Love?

Truly yes if GB had not made the playoffs for 4 years in a row It is safe to question if any 3 of those guys are around. Love might not have got his payday and Gute and ML probably are both fired after this season with Policy taking over and neither having made the playoffs in 4 years.

The main issue I see is drafting good talent. That’s on the GM and scouts. Our drafting philosophy may work for Day 3 picks but certainly not the early ones. How many years in a row have there been at least two “head scratchers“ in the early rounds?

I’ve been on this board long enough to see a few members’ mock drafts CONSISTENTLY beat out Packers picks - and over time. And that should never be the case. It’s so bad, that when we trade away two 1st round picks, we shrug our shoulders and say, “Who cares? We suck picking them anyway.”

We need a new, fresh drafting philosophy and that starts with a new GM.

I fixed it for since you were too modest to extend the acknowledgement and anger the rest of the board...I do appreciate it and agree with what you have posted.

LOL! I should stop venting - we still made the playoffs. Like Jim Carey says in Dumb and Dumber, “So you’re telling me there’s still a chance?”

Did anyone believe GB was going to go to Philly, then ATL, then Chicago in 2011 playoffs to go to SB?
The way they ended that season, yeah I didn't think there was any force on the planet that was going to stop them.

Let me just give you this stat.... who in the hell do any of you replace him with ? I am all ears, and his number W/L gets even better through year 7!

But but 7th seed blah blah... who's out there that takes this meh talent and does better?

His 67 regular-season wins are the second most in NFL history by a head coach in his first six seasons in the league, trailing only George Seifert (75 in 1989-94). Guided the Packers to a 67-33 record (.670) from 2019-24 (No. 1 in the NFC and No. 4 in the NFL), tied for the most regular-season wins over a six-season span in team history (2009-14).
