2021 Off Season Thread

williams is not a starting back. never said he was. he's a guy that you platoon with another running back. but i have my doubts that dillon is even that.
And take out the games he did not start he averaged 7 carries per game. That’s a backup

except he's better than dillon at just about everything. and zero fumbles in 662 rushes where most of the time he was fighting three or four tacklers is worth something. he's more than a backup.
I vetted him before he was drafted and had him going to GB, He's not a starting caliber RB, the problem being is he wants to be paid like one. Bye Bye.

They aren’t going to pay the kind of money that Jones/Williams want. Pretty simple.
Dillon and Taylor are already on the roster.
Maybe they add a guy like UCLA’s Demetric Felton in the draft?

is he a starter? if not we have a totally unproven rb as our starter. since we are letting both jones and williams go and keeping a guy who isn't as good as either of them. i guess we still have dexter.

They should draft another RB. That said Dillion did average over 5 yds per carry , I get it’s a small sample size but he’s a better back than Williams

RB is an unknown right now. Could Dillon step up? Maybe. But could he also flame out when defenses start planning for him and not Jones and he has to play more snaps and last longer than being a change of pace guy? Sure.

Does it matter if GB has a real starter at RB? That's up to ML and his game planning. I would say WR and TE are more important to upgrade right now than RB.

I’m ok with TE but depth is a ?? You can find quality at RB in rounds 3-4-5 so it’s not priority 1 like CB or ILB

I like Williams, I like that he dances around, I like that he’s tough and assignment sure and I think the guys in the locker room like him. With a shrinking cap and all the issues we have, I don’t see how you commit however many million a year to that guy. Maybe if we were one of those lucky teams without all-pros at QB, LT, OC and WR and a nice reliable pass rusher we could swing it, but gotta have priorities.
