Practice Starts at: 10:10 AM CT

Injuries: OT David Bakhtiari (PUP ACL), TE Josiah Deguara (PUP ACL), RB Patrick Taylor (PUP FOOT), LB Ray Wilborn (COVID), S Henry Black (NFI), LB Tipa Galeai (NFI), DT Kingsley Keke (NFI), CB Kevin King (NFI), OLB Za'Darius Smith (NFI), CB Will Redmond (NFI), LB Isaiah McDuffie(NFI)

Offense:

  • Funchess, EQ, MVS all accounted for. So unlikely they were involved in any deal for Cobb.
  • You could say Aaron Rodgers appears to be in jovial spirits. He tugged on QB coach Luke Getty’s shorts for some good-natured ribbing and cut up with some support staff between individual reps.
  • Dexter Williams with a nice twisting, falling away catch in the back of the end zone against air from Aaron Rodgers. Showing off his hands.
  • Non shooting period but Deguara definitely shifting into next gear in his off-to-the-side rehab exercises, running and cutting.
  • Jenkins - Runyan - Myers - Patrick - Turner first OL configuration
  • Jace Sternberger starts off camp with a drop in team drills.
  • Malik Taylor makes a nice move in the open field against Kabion Ento to get some extra yards.
  • Bailey Gaither with a very nice route against Ka’Dar but Love chooses to check it down. Gaither had nice separation on a deep comeback route.
  • Love throws low for Nauta. Incomplete.
  • Nice run by Kylin Hill to get to the second level. Amari in motion messed with the defense.
  • OL creating some nice running lanes for Jones and Dillon.
  • First practice, no pads but Kylin Hill has some wiggle in his cutback when he hits the hole.
  • Rodgers w/ an extended conversation with Sternberger while Love was taking reps. Looks like Rodgers was just going over expectations of a play and encouraging him. If there was any question that Rodgers was going to just come in and go through the motions that won’t be the case.
  • Rodgers hits EQ on deep corner to end zone, quickly met by a cheer from the crowd.
  • Ben Braden getting snaps at RT, Jon Dietzen at RG and Cole Van Lanen at LT.
  • Gorgeous snag by Jones out of the backfield on a high throw from Rodgers. Full extension, great grab.
  • Dillon up the middle for a “touchdown” although the defense obviously not trying to bring him down.
  • GORGEOUS connection from Love to Amari for a TD. Dropped a dime to him , back left end zone fade with Sullivan all over him in coverage. Play of the day so far.
  • Another nice play by Jordan Love to step up in the pocket, buy time and find Kylin Hill near the end zone. Hill was able to wiggle in for a touchdown. Nice stretch by Love here.
  • First injury scare of training camp. Davante Adams slow to get up after catching a touchdown pass from Aaron Rodgers a red zone period. Walked off under his own power talking to a medical staffer.
  • It looks like it was an inadvertent nut tap for Davante. Crisis averted.
  • Love to Sternberger for an easy touchdown on a bootleg. Sternberger was left wide open. Another Nathaniel Hackett red zone special.
  • Dexter Williams with a touchdown run inside. Nice play by Dexter who has had a nice practice.
  • Rodgers runs in a score.
  • Packers giving Runyan and Big Ben Braden a shot at that open LG spot with Jenkins at LT.
  • Rodgers to Tonyan for an easy td in red zone. Tight ends continue to be a force in the red zone for this offense.
  • Rodgers to Adams for a touchdown now. Sullivan had no chance on Adams with a quick move to the outside.
  • Rodgers looked sharp by day one standards. Veterans are done for the day now.
  • Just young guys on the field, Love finds Winfree (who has had a few receptions today) on a quick slant. Nice snag.
  • Heck of a pass from Benkert to Winfree at the pylon.
  • Aaron Rodgers was standing on the outside of the post-practice huddle before being called to the middle with some applause from teammates. Practice No. 1 in the books.
Defense:

  • Eric Stokes out and on the jugs machine already.
  • Stokes with the ones to start team drills. (note King is injured)
  • De’vondre Campbell and Krys Barnes with the ones at LB.
  • Starting defense at camp: Lowry, Clark, Lancaster, Preston, Barnes, Campbell, Gary, Alexander, Sullivan, Stokes, Amos, Savage Yes that’s 12 but depending on the package those are the starters.
  • TJ Slaton at nose—that’s the good stuff.
  • Barnes & Campbell getting a lot of run together with the 1s on defense.
  • Randy Ramsey had a nice off-season program. Now bats down a love pass at LoS.
  • Rashan Gary has had a really nice practice and just beat Elgton Jenkins with a rip move for a would be sack if 12 wasn’t wearing red.
  • Gary just destroyed Turner off the line. No pads yet but his play has jumped off the field today.
Special Teams:

  • In addition to starting at ILB, DeVondre Campbell is getting first-team reps on punt coverage and may wind up on other units as well.

That's a great thing to read. He needs the reps... give Rodgers some extra days off.
