AR Prediction Thread

Gute and Murphy foolishly bought into that they could get one last shot at a SB. Everyone else knew better. GB should have moved him after 2021 could have likely got 3 1st round picks for him then
even i (probably one of rodgers' strongest supporters on this site) knew that was what they should have done. he was at max value after two consecutive mvps. and it was clear that the plan was to go with love eventually. that insane contract was just unbelievably stupid.

Packers gain nearly $15 million in cap space with Rodgers adjusted contract

“The restructure pushed all but the minimum salary and a small workout bonus into 2024, so New York will need to rework it again. Green Bay will carry a roughly $40 million dead cap hit in 2023 and Rodgers will be off the books in 2024.

“By reworking the deal this way, Green Bay saves $14.575M in 2023 cap space instead of getting a credit in 2024. For at least the next couple days, Rodgers is due $1.215 million in 2023 and $107.6 million in 2024. This will obviously change.”

Seems like an accounting move, from what I can tell his total 2023 cap hit remains identical - ~$40m.

So Rodgers is now the grandpa of the NFL. With Brady retiring and Jason Peters, Andy Lee, and Robbie Gould all currently FA it makes Rodgers the oldest player in the NFL.

Everyone always says "Oh I can see him packing it in and walking away early" but they never do. Guys like Rodgers still wind up playing as long as they can.

So Rodgers managed to attend every OTA in NY. But in GB he was to busy smoking dope and going on vacation to ever do that in GB the last how many seasons.

not sure why so many people find this strange. he only knows a few people in the entire organization. he needs to get familiar with 95% of the players and coaches. he needs to start working on new relationships. this isn't an organization he's been working in for the last 18 years. he's starting with a clean slate. it will be interesting to see how long it takes bitter packers fans to actually move on. clearly, rodgers already has. some people can adapt to change and embrace it without animosity towardsthe past. others just aren't capable.
