Early enrollees have become an increasing trend in the world of college football, and the Wisconsin Badgers have seen that first hand. However, the 2016 class won’t see a large influx of those players.

Instead, just two players are currently slated to join the program for the spring semester in hopes of getting a jump start on their careers. Those two players were announced via Twitter on Tuesday.

Wisconsin will have 3-star quarterback and Badger legacy, Kare’ Lyles in the fold after an impressive high school career for Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz.. Lyles finished his senior season completing 70.1 percent of his passes for 3,561 yards (254.4 yards per game) and 43 touchdowns to just six interceptions.

Saguaro finished the season as DII state champions in Arizona, defeating Marcos de Niza (Tempe), 38-20, in the final.

Meanwhile, Jeanty will compete in the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl following his high school career. He comes to the Badgers as a 3-star inside linebacker, the No. 66-ranked inside linebacker in the country and No. 223-ranked player in the state of Florida according to the 247Sports composite rankings.

Both will join intriguing positions on this team, as there will be a first-time starter at quarterback no matter who it is and the Badgers could have a number of options to look at all spring long. Meanwhile, Jeanty will join a very young and thin group of inside linebackers.

Getting in early and hitting the weight room as well as the playbook could give both a leg up in earning playing time earlier than others in their careers.
