MADISON, Wis. – Just weeks after earning her way back onto the Missouri Athletic Club (MAC) Hermann Trophy watch list, Wisconsin women’s soccer senior Rose Lavelle garnered another national honor and was named the No. 1 player in the country by TopDrawerSoccer.com in the TDS women’s national top 100 rankings for women’s college soccer.

Leading Wisconsin last season to its first Big Ten regular season championship since 1994, the Cincinnati, Ohio, native led all Badgers in 2015 with 17 points on a team-high seven goals and three assists.

Lavelle, a 2016 first-team All-American, was named one of 15 semifinalists for last year’s MAC Hermann Trophy, becoming just the second player in school history to be named a semifinalist for collegiate soccer’s most prestigious individual award.

A first-team All-Great Lakes Region selection by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) in 2015, Lavelle became the first player in program history to be named Big Ten Midfielder of the Year. The only unanimous selection last year, Lavelle earned first-team All-Big Ten recognition for the third-straight year in her career.
