Brewers 2024 Season Thread

What a AB by William Contraes. 13 pitch AB to hit a 3 run HR that ended up being the difference in the 4-2 win vs Houston.

Brewers really need to lock up Contrares up long term. Showing he's a top 5 catcher in MLB. While he does not have name power like Mookie or Shoni to get MVP thoughts his production is up there with them.

Some bad baseball going on in MLB right now. Only 12 teams are .500 or better right now in all of MLB.

See Adames hitting under .250 again. I would actually look to trade him. I don't think MKE is going to pay to resign him after the season. Maybe you can get a decent prospect back. Let's be honest MKE is not going to contend for a WS if they make the playoffs. Adames is a guy besides his first year in MKE wer in 99 games hit .285. Since then he's been a below .250 hitter. He's pretty much a guy who if he does not hit a HR he's striking out. Move Turang to SS and put someone at 2B and move Adames if you can get some value back.

Brewers bullpen nearly blows 6 run lead in the 9th. If not for Sal Frelick catch with 2 outs in the 9th that robbed the Angels of a game tying 3 run HR. Up 6-0 in 9th Brewers used 3 pitchers to get thru the 9th with each pitcher only recording 1 out each and the first 2 giving up 3 runs and only the closer getting bailed out from blowing the save by Frelick's catch.
