The line protection for the most part was really good. And Illinois 2 best players on defense were out. Playbook was a bit watered down but that was expected. I was impressed
 
You're both right. They were great throws, especially for someone who lacks a lot of game experience. That said, I saw so many different things he did well. It was like watching a surgeon out there.

I'm really anxious to see what he can do against Nebraska. Fields went 20-21 for more yardage, but only 3 TDs. I want to see what Mertz can do to them. I'd also like to see our running game take over, and let Graham coast for the game, to give him more time to read defenses. He'll get better the more he's out there.
