Though stories on all sides conflict, we now have a better idea of what events led to the Green Bay tight end's arrest this summer. Meanwhile, five Green Bay players earned Grammy nominations this week.
This offseason was a tumultuous one for a few Green Bay Packers off the field. Defensive end Datone Jones was cited for marijuana possession, tackle Letroy Guion had his well-documented traffic stop in Florida, and tight end Andrew Quarless was arrested after firing a gun into the air in Miami over the Fourth of July weekend.
While details of the first two incidents have been released and discussed at some length, there had been little to no discussion of Quarless' arrest since the summer. On Monday, however, the public finally got its first close look at those events, including a few photographs that aren't exactly flattering.
From bad news to amusing off-the-field items, several Packers are among those nominated for a Grammy award, resulting from their involvement in Pitch Perfect 2. We've got that, plus discussion about the Packers' offensive playcalling, and much more in today's curds.

The Packers were awfully lucky that they brought Crockett on the trip to Detroit, as most practice squad players do not travel with the team. Crockett should play some role down the stretch, as his run/pass versatility is something that the team can put to good use.

Well we now have a photo of the potted plant in which Quarless tried to hide his gun, plus a photo of him holding his crotch while in police custody. He's got a heck of an attorney, though, who said that Quarless "probably just had to urinate."

The only Packer mentioned was fullback John Kuhn. Tennessee's Delanie Walker got the top honors among tight ends, likely due to a good day blocking as well as receiving.

Seriously. The soundtrack for Pitch Perfect 2 is up for a Grammy for Best Compilation Soundtrack. And don't forget about David Bakhtiari, Josh Sitton, T.J. Lang, and Don Barclay while we're at it.
