The Bucks aren't quite a top contender. They seem to lack the consistency necessary to overcome off nights on defense and/or shooting. They started out like one of the best in the league, but they're starting to see teams using their weaknesses against them. Once exposed, little chinks in your armor can become glaring weaknesses, as teams begin exploring them.

The question we need to ask. Can the Bucks correct these problems and move up the ladder?

Before Butler got traded to Philadelphia yesterday I thought Milwaukee was the 3rd best team in the east. Now not sure. Philly gave up depth so let’s see how that plays out long term

Portland is a bad matchup due to guard play. We actually matchup well witn Golden State, we are better in the paint. Yep matchups matter. No shame losing on a west coast trip. Hell Phoenix almost beat Boston, they were up 22.

This is a very good team witn depth. They should get home court in round 1 in playoffs

Hard to know who the Bucks are. A new offense that will take teams a while to catch up to might make them look better than they are for a while. They are surely not a juggernaut but Pack is probably about right - 3rd or 4th in the East, maybe 2nd with some breaks, 5th with some bad luck.

Losing games on the West coast is no big deal unless you are getting blown out regularly by bad teams. The Clippers are decent. It's a long NBA season. Even really good teams lose 30 games. Winning this close game would have made it a great trip. As it was, it turned into a pretty decent long road trip.

So close in these games. One step from being elite.
