Rookie Victor Caratini's first major-league home run in the seventh broke a tie and Kris Bryant's solo shot in the eighth put the game out of reach as the Brewers fell, 4-2, in front of a third consecutive sellout crowd at Miller Park.

This series was important to win. Good baseball being played, but I think we have seen the high water mark. I suspect we start to see a slow slide over the next few weeks. Not an off-a-cliff thing just losing one more game per week than the leader and by the end of Aug they are 6-8 games out.
