OL is a big need after losing 2 of them to free agency and both Baht and Jenkins coming off injury. Report this morning was both Cowboys and Gutey wanted Zion Johnson who went well before our picks.
So who now? Depends on what they view as pressing and what they want.
I have 4 players and like WRs maybe not in order some mocks have them. The first two had a chance to go in round 1 with first round grades but if course didn't.
Nicholas Petit-Frere LT/RT Ohio State 6-5 316 might be most athletic OL in draft can get to second level. Has chance to maybe be best OT from draft down the road IF he puts technic with his athletic ability and not rely on athletic ability alone.
Abraham Lucas RT/OL Washington State 6-5 315
Pure RT and great pass blocker with good feet etc. If that good why isn't he rated higher? Two fold. One he is a RT and second no one knows if he can play LT.
Bernard Raimann LT/RT Central Michigan 6-6 303.
Needs some development but at all star practices proved to be a quick learner that didn't make same mistake twice. A guy popular with many of you here
Matt Waletzko OT/OL North Dakota 6-8 312 a future LT that could be a replacement for Baht down road. Needs some development and maybe more strength but also is considered a later rd pick. Pack always seem to draft an OL like this in later rounds.
I have Safety and TE as needs too but with more pressing and where we are drafting not sure we get anyone other then maybe developmental unless get lucky.
The one TE want us Jelani Woods of Virginia 6-7 4.6. Athletic and would prove a mismatch for many DBs. Only played TE for 2 years and could go anywhere in Rd 2 through early Rd 3.
From the strange file and head scratcher....James Jones said this and discounted it but heard talk of this again last night and still don't make any sense....Pack trading for TE Waller from Raiders. Why on earth would Raiders do that? The strange things that come out around draft time, got to love it lol
