I still marvel at how the Vikings got the whole Favre experience in just 2 years. The brilliance, the toughness, the miracle throws, the heart breaking INT at the worst possible time, the offseason waffling, a little scandal...

I'm happy to see this as well. I know it means a lot to a lot of people. I don't hold any grudges, but neither am I going to move heaven and earth to attend any of the specials events or honors. But I'm very happy for those who will get a thrill out of those events.

I agree. I appreciate the energy he pumped back into the franchise, but I have not been able to forget all the crap that happened at the end. My own problem I know. Happy for the people who are excited for this, guess I am overly jaded on him, still. He now is taking some credit for Manning/Colts scenario, the difference though, was that Manning wasn't threatening to retire every year. I have come to believe Brett is still all about himself and this is more time in a spotlight. I know I'm in the minority, but He just leaves me with the 'meh' feeling.

Second cash cow phase for Favre merchandise, helps him and the Packers.
 
I would be shocked if the Packers and Favre already have a marketing deal in place. Favre comes back for alumni week every year maybe does the Lombardi golf out and Packers can use him in media marketing. Everyone makes $$$ off it and everyone is happy.
