Ron Dayne calls him a "fighter." Ross Kolodziej said battling him at practice made getting to the NFL a possibility. Both men believe Chris McIntosh, the Badgers' new athletic director, is the right man for the job.

he was a good player. therefore must be a great choice for ad.

I think they intend saying that he's a hard worker who will do what it takes to do the job right. I'd also like to hear how he is with those who have been transitioning through the system since he came on board with Alvarez. That's where the real story begins. We'll know more, as things go on.

that is what is implied for sure. but i've known many many hard workers who never could have succeeded in that kind of role.

Since he was the Deputy AD I would think internal transition will be seamless. That said he’s got his work cut out for him on multiple issues

Based on his acceptance speech, I get the impression some of the things he envisions were not in tune with what Alvarez saw for the future. Good or bad? I don't know.

We're probably going to hear a lot more about the issues he has to deal with, than we would have with Alvarez. A new AD's work will immediately come under scrutiny, and be judged fairly harshly.

There won't be any honeymoon, that's for sure. He's not stepping up from being the most successful football coach the school ever had, directly to AD. He doesn't have that at his disposal.

Don't like legacy hires, sloppy work by administration, and a bunch of CYA by the coaches and boosters on the committee. He fails they'll hang him out faster then you can say "On Wisconsin"

Most work out very poorly. We even saw that in GB with coaches. Starr and Gregg. It often ends up being an inbred problem."
