Was watching the 1984 Draft special when the war between USFL vs NFL and USFL basically signed the best players in their draft held in Jan and gave guaranteed contracts whereas NFL was no guarantee and held in May.
Also was the first draft for a 23 year old Mel Kiper with a very young Boomer.
Now what is interesting is all these years later what the big names and great former GMs say and think of him.
It's funny as none of them think of him as a talent evaluator, but an information gatherer that made a cottage industry for himself. And obviously a bunch of others that followed.
