Did not see that as an option. Kind of surprising Moose would agree to that. He's a guy that has been looking for a contract for a couple of seasons. Seems odd that he'd be willing to do a position switch and take the risk that he could look bad there and possibly have it affect his overall value. It's a position with a slightly higher injury risk and sometimes poor play in the field affects a guy at the plate. It does show he's a team guy.

Of course there is also the possibility this is only a spring training experiment, that it doesn't go well and that he's back at 3rd base by the start of the regular season.
