Official Week 17 Green Bay vs Chicago Thread

The Packers have claimed DT Damon "Snacks" Harrison off waivers,
He's getting around. He only spends enough time with a team to have a snack. He's a big guy, that's for sure.

The Packers have claimed DT Damon "Snacks" Harrison off waivers,
did not expect that. is he eligible to play in the playoffs?

"The Seahawks waived Harrison on Monday after he met with coach Pete Carroll earlier in the day and said he did not want to play for the team after being made inactive for the game Sunday against the Rams."

“He’s decided to stop playing,” Carroll said during his radio show on ESPN 710 Seattle. “He’s done playing.”

The Packers have long coveted Snacks Harrison, so long as they could pay him vet minimum.

doesn't a new addition to the roster have to wait 14 days before they can practice with the team? and then figur another week to practice. we'd be in the second playoff game by ten. i'm not sure how that works. just asking the question.

very well could be. but he'll be another year older by then. not sure if he'll have anything left in the tank.

more info on snacks:

"If the Packers win Sunday's regular-season finale against the Chicago Bears, they would be the No. 1 seed in the NFC and have a first-round playoff bye. Even if they have to play on wild-card weekend, they could get Harrison through the COVID protocols and ready for that weekend. They were granted a roster exemption for Harrison."

Harrison said in a tweet after his release that he was not interested in getting claimed. However, in response to a tweet that suggested he might actually play for the Packers given that they're a Super Bowl team and one that was on his list of teams he planned to meet with before he signed with Seattle earlier this season, Harrison responded with a one-word tweet that read: "Bingo."
