Had this in shout but a thread is needed as well.

Scoring Efficiency - 39.9% (31st)
RZ Scoring Efficiency - 100% (32nd)
3rd Down Conversions - 44.4% (30th)
3rd Down Completion % - 69.7% (32nd)
10 Play Drives - 28 (31st)
5 Minute Drives - 24 (32nd)

Pass Plays of 10+yds Allowed...
1. JAX 83
2. PIT 93
31. TEN 139
32. GB 141

Packers finished 32nd in this last year... Allowing 95.6%
No team has allowed 100% in RZ Scoring since the 2008 Buccaneers...

Numbers don't lie. It's time for a change on defense

Wow that's harsh. Why would we ask to fire a guy who has such a great track record.

Thanks for putting those numbers out there Mark. I was wondering what the 3rd down efficiency was but I was too lazy to go look.

If injuries are the excuse, it's time to replace the S&C dept with an actual modern, competent staff, and replace the guy who keeps bringing in guys prone to injury.

Oh, and the defensive staff should still go, too.

Where's my chart on the talent and depth of the defense? It's time to update that thing.

the sad thing is that we have some talented players on this defense, and yet the results are so utterly horrible. how mccarthy can continue to be blind to this is beyond me.

Agree completely. Matthews, Perry, Daniels, Clark, Clinton-Dix, Martinez, Burnett and as of late even Randall have played well. They have the makings of a solid defense.

If GB wants to seriously contend going forward they need a new scheme and fresh coaching on defense. MM has issues with being over loyal to his staff. Don't get me wrong you don't want to shuffle coordinators yearly or even every 3 years but Dom has been passe' for awhile now.

Can't wait to see how we can blame Hundley for this!?!?!

Realistically, with those stats, it is kind of amazing that we're heading into our 14th game and we haven't been eliminated from the playoffs yet. A shitty season to have good luck.

This defense is ridiculous. Those stats should lead to this being Capers last year. Do They not have a quality control assistant who runs these numbers and presents them to McCarthy for the year end evaluations? Why in the hell would you retain Capers? This has to be his last year.

Watch other defenses attack and you'll see quite a difference with a Capers led defense. There is no freshness or innovation. It's stale. The Blitzer literally runs into the opposing offensive player.

Put simply, our defense is entirely uncoordinated. Which is the direct responsibility of the defensive coordinator.
