Here are some noteworthy items:
The Packers’ 53-man roster consists of 25 offensive players, 26 defensive players and two specialists. They currently don’t have a long-snapper on the roster after Lovato’s release.
Six undrafted rookies are the most the Packers have kept in Ted Thompson’s 11 years as general manager. At least one undrafted rookie has made the Packers’ 53 since Thompson was hired in 2005.
The Packers had at least one undrafted rookie cornerback (Hawkins and Dorleant) and one running back (Burks) make the initial roster for the second consecutive year after CB LaDarius Gunter and RB Alonzo Harris did so last year.
Hawkins had five tackles and two interceptions during the preseason with his second pick coming in Thursday night’s finale in Kansas City.
Burks made the team after leading the Packers in rushing during the preseason with 31 carries for 120 yards and a touchdown.
The Packers kept three quarterbacks on their active roster for the third consecutive season.
This is the first time in three training camps with the Packers that tight end Justin Perillo and linebacker Joe Thomas have made the initial 53-man roster.
The Packers placed center Corey Linsley (hamstring) on the regular-season physically unable to perform list, sidelining him for at least the first six games of the regular season.
Defensive lineman Christian Ringo, a sixth-round pick in 2015, made the 53-man roster after spending all of last season on the Packers’ practice squad. The Packers kept five defensive linemen for the third consecutive season after carrying eight into the season in 2013.
Micah Hyde is officially listed on the roster as a DB (defensive back), because he plays both cornerback and safety. He is listed here as a S.
Green Bay native Kyle Steuck, who was signed on Aug. 14, was placed on injured reserve. He played eight snaps against Kansas City on Thursday night before being carted off in the fourth quarter.
Thirty-seven of the 53 players who made the team spent time on the Packers’ active roster in 2015. The rest of the roster is comprised of all seven 2016 draft choices, six undrafted rookies, one street free agent (Cook), one waiver claim (Schum) and one former practice-squad player (Ringo).
The Packers released 17 players, placed two on injured reserve, two on reserve/suspended and one on physically unable to perform to reduce the roster from 75 to 53.
The roster is not necessarily final. Waiver claims can be made through Sunday afternoon, and room must be made on the 53-man roster for any player claimed on waivers. Once the 24-hour waiver period expires, teams can begin establishing their 10-man practice squads.

Still hoping they grab a DL like Knighton. We seem awfully thin tbere. Pennel really hamstrung the team for awhile. I'm guessing all the DB's mean Hyde will be gone after this year?

I agree. Good job, Mark!

OLB Reggie Gilbert — Gilbert joined the Packers in May as an undrafted free agent from Arizona and began turning heads in training camp. His quiet disposition belied a ferocious on-field demeanor, and an array of pass rush moves yielded success during the exhibition season. By the end of camp, it could be argued that Gilbert outplayed Jayrone Elliott, third-round pick Kyler Fackrell and Lerentee McCray, who has since been traded.

ILB Carl Bradford — Despite marked improvements as an inside linebacker, Bradford failed to make the 53-man roster for a second consecutive season. The Packers kept only three players at his position — Jake Ryan, Joe Thomas and rookie Blake Martinez — with Bradford narrowly behind in the competition. Still, the thin numbers at inside linebacker bode well for Bradford, who might be the hardest hitter of the bunch. He is much closer to actual playing time than other members of the practice squad whose positions are more crowded.

NT Brian Price — Like Bradford, Price was likely the next choice along the defensive line. Thompson kept five defensive linemen on his 53-man roster — a sixth, Mike Pennel, will return after a four-game suspension — and it was first-year player Christian Ringo who secured the final spot. Price intrigued the coaches with his tenacity and relentless motor, two traits that were on display all the way through the exhibition finale against Kansas City, when he chased quarterbacks on multiple occasions. Price is a developmental player for defensive line coach Mike Trgovac.

OG Lucas Patrick — That Patrick earned a spot on the practice squad is particularly impressive given what he overcame during training camp. Patrick, who played at Duke, suffered a significant injury to his right hand early in August and wore a club for the remainder of camp. He never missed a day of practice and, somehow, played fairly well even without the ability to grab, rip and push opponents with any sort of legitimate dexterity. With Josh Sitton gone, Patrick is a player whose development may be important for the long-term future of the offensive line.

i do like this signing, but there is one line in his draft profile that is somewhat disconcerting:

"Pressley is a change-of-pace runner with almost no third-down value but the juice to make NFL teams take notice."
I think he killed that vibe while at MN...really showed juice in the screen game. Remember he played in a college option offense so it was hard to evaluate him fully.

The Packers filled nine of their 10 practice-squad spots on Sunday, according to the NFL's transaction notice. They went to: WR Geronimo Allison, LB Carl Bradford, LB Beniquez Brown, OLB Reggie Gilbert, G Blake Muir, G Lucas Patrick, DT Brian Price, WR Herb Waters and CB Jermaine Whitehead. All were in camp with the Packers expect for Muir, who was released by the 49ers.

Pressley does have what has been missing at RB for while - speed.
