Post Game Eagles Edge Out Packers 10-7

We are now 5-3-1. 8 games left. 2 against the Vikings - a rival, maybe down a bit, but a rival. 2 against the Bears - THE rival and on an upswing. 1 against the Lions on Thanksgiving Day in their house. 1 against the Giants. 1 against the Broncos - pretty hot. And, 1 against the Ravens. I think we need 11 wins to make the playoffs. That's 6 out of 8 with that schedule. A pretty gosh darn tough order. And, with this team?

Things I liked tonight:

The defensive effort. To hold the Eagles to 10 was something I didn't think they could do. I imagined and anticipated Barkley would run for about 400 to put him back on track for a 2,000 yard season. Yea, I know he got the 1 back breaker followed by the big touchdown pass. But really, that was one hell of a defensive effort. I kept waiting for the damn to burst, but it didn't. Hats off to the defense.

Jacobs. Man he runs hard.

Things I didn't like tonight:

LaFleur's coaching. Lot's of strange plays. And, twice in crunch time the Pack gets penalties because players don't know how to line up? What the hell.

Love. Sorry. But, I got to watch a lot more tonight than I have been able to this year. He's throwing off his back foot. I realize that is because of poor offensive line play, but still. he needs to find a way.

Somebody criticized Aikman's announcing. Hey, it's okay not to like him. But, he was pointing out an open receivers that Love didn't throw to. Most of them were short mid range that would have moved the chains and kept drives alive. But, what does he know.

The Offensive Line. Jeez. There's no way to sugar coat it. We can't be running deep routes. There isn't enough time. LOVE and LAFLEUR - What the Hell? You know the offensive line is in the mildest way that you'd say to a good buddy that sucks - challenged, yet you continuously think they are going to miraculously grow a pair and make that block. JEEZ.

Receivers - pick one. Love was a little off. You're a freakin' professional. Catch the Damn Ball.

Future Prognosis:

In the words of Mr. T, "PAIN!"

The offensive line was bad last year and is somehow worse. How is our offensive line coach still employed? I don't know how they can face their teammates each week. Hell, how can they face Jacobs? It's stunting Love. He can't step into throws and it's getting him into bad habits of throwing off his back foot.

Look at the crappy blocking! My god people... we can't run block or pass pro.

We've been bitching about the offensive line since last year. It's amazing how bad they are and still collecting a paycheck.
'
And, it's not all the physical blocking stuff. It's the mental stuff where they're not even doing the right stuff at the right time or not focused and jumping. AGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

Team is not making the playoffs. They will lose to MN, Detroit, Chicago, Denver, Balt to finish 8-8-1 and give Dallas there top 15 draft pick. Gute for sure is fired and 50/50 on ML keeping his job.

But I put a lot of blame on ML and Rich B they keep this BS of McManus is our kicker McManus has cost us what 2 games now this year because of his kicking. If our coaches can't see he should not be kicking they should not be coaching.
