Receiver Rodeo 2025

Lots of stuff going to be happening this year with the receivers.

Maybe it will be great, maybe it will explode or implode. Maybe receivers will be great and their cling ons will be entertaining.

Who knows? Who stays? Who goes? Who do we want to stay? Who do we want to go?

Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler!

This is just like the parents and kids who play big-time college football who whine about being recruited over. Grow up. Teams at all levels add new players every year, to compete with and possibly replace guys already on the roster. If that doesn't work for you, quit. Plus, who's to say he's a Watson replacement, maybe he's a teammate.

Not so sure they'll play together long, but who knows.

Doubs quit on them last year, made his own bed. I still have hope for Watson and what he can bring but he's just been in and out of the lineup.

I like Watson, I like Reed. But it's a bottom line business, they're going to have to decide if they're going to pay any of these guys $16-$20 or even $25m per year. That's the rate for WR. It used to be a value heavy position and that has flipped on its head in the last few years.

It's why I've come around on drafting WR in the first round - it used to be poor value/high risk, but these guys are contributing more early on and they're so expensive to re-sign, you want to get bang for the buck as quickly as you can and that 5th year of control.
