The Wisconsin Badgers men’s hockey program came in to 2018-19 without much outside fanfare. Internally, there was a lot of confidence. That confidence has been rewarded, as the Badgers swept No. 10-ranked Boston College with a 7-5 victory on Saturday night at the Kohl Center. Unlike the previous night, this was a wild one with both teams doing some incredible things on offense.

One of three things at play here. BC isn't nearly as good as their #10 ranking. BC used those games to tune up for the season ahead. And last but not least, the Badgers ain't all that bad.

It's a combo of 1 and 3. BC isn't a top 10 team but probably top 15-20, and the Badgers are gonna be decent.

BC wouldn't dream of dropping a pair at Wisconsin, as they're going to need the pairwise rankings to go their way to make the postseason, I don't think they'll hang with the top of their conference. 2nd is probably their ceiling.
