Post Game: Green Bay defeats Chicago 27-10

Justin Fields showing why you don't draft any OSU QB's but next draft one will go top 5 again. OSU QB's all they do is bust.

The best thing about Jenkins playing last night was that it kept Hanson on the bench!
Amen to that!

Overall I don't think there's a whole lot to say about this game, to me it was the sort of game that GB has been winning at home for the past almost 20 years now. Nothing really spectacular but they quietly dominated. Once they answered Chicago's early TD with a TD of their own it felt to me that the game wasn't really in doubt, Chicago's only real chance IMO was if they busted a few big plays on ST like last year but they couldn't. Like I said earlier in the thread, this game would've been 35-7 or something like that if they hadn't botched two plays in the 3rd quarter - Rodgers blew that hand off to Dillon which gifted Chicago 3 pts, and then that botched snap with Myers and Watson running the motion, I don't know who was at fault there between Myers, Watson and Rodgers with the cadence but that killed another good drive.

I just think that if GB is going to be a run heavy team - and they have to be - this is kinda what the wins are going to look like. Rodgers isn't Mahomes, you're not going to get a ton of big pass plays, he's not throwing for 4-6 TDs in a game. But if they run the ball well and once or twice per game can hit a deep pass off of play action like they did to Watkins near the end there, that's a decent formula to win some games.

Though this is the Aaron Rodgers we need to see without Adams on the team. 8 different players caught a ball and none had more then four targets the entire night. Spread it around throw to the open guy not force it to your favorite guy no matter how much he's covered.

So now we are judging guys in year 2 as a bust? Please. He’s got a new OC, new HC, no weapons on offense.

Just because you go to school x means nothing. Don’t draft a QB from Cal either….i remember that narrative

Except the balls that Watson and Doubs caught were more pop screens than from route tree. Subtle difference but important.

The only other noticeable thing was that Lazard was clearly not close to 100%. He looked more like 50%... Even when blocking he had no strength or drive..
Noticed the same thing.

I thought Fields did pretty good with the cast of players around him. He can run the ball when needed, and isn't afraid to take hits. He may never be an elite QB, but there are a lot of them that aren't nearly as good, making a living in the NFL.
