I believe Packers have only used it 3 times in history 2006 on Corey Williams who was traded to Browns then Ryan Pickett who signed ext and now Adams who was traded to Raiders.

Who knows what offer they made and when if it was cheap or not. You NEVER make your best offer first. FO actually did a nice job this time
 
Suppose it doesn't really matter at this point. Adams leaving may help this team in the long run. I'm excited to start looking past the Arod and Adams era in GB. And these extra picks help push that along.
