All or Nothing: Dwight Freeney predicted Don Barclay's nightmarish game vs. Cardinals

No fan of Barclay, but, although he's still listed as a T/G, didn't last year prove, even to the staff, that he can't even be considered as a tackle? Hence, wouldn't it be more appropriate to talk about Rotheram, Walker, Taylor and Patrick as the players who could get Barclay cut?

I dont think so as Barclay did fine as a backup RT before suffering a knee injury. Last year he was going through recovery from that knee injury. His spot is RT, he shouldnt have been put out there on an island at LT like that, both because he was still recovering from the knee injury and the coaching staff knew he is not a LT and wouldnt do well before the injury. Now if he dont get back to how he was pre-injury or better, then he will probly be gone.

Also, dont forget, McCarthy appears to like Barclay and seems to speak fondly of him any time Barclay is mentioned.

But MM speaks fondly of pretty much anyone.

2nd Barclay is an average RT backup at best. IMO you need to be more then just a average RT backup player to make this team. Other players on this team can play more then one OL spot.
