Seven different Wisconsin wrestlers won matches as the Badgers topped host Maryland 25-12 in a Big Ten dual on Sunday.

Andrew Crone put UW on the board first with a 5-3 win over Wade Hodges at 149 pounds. The triumph was Crone’s fifth straight victory.

The Terrapins answered at 157 thanks to Lou Mascola’s 10-7 win over TJ Ruschell.

Isaac Jordan put Wisconsin (3-7, 2-6 Big Ten) ahead for a good with a pin at 165. The win was career victory No.100 for the redshirt junior who is now 20-0 on the season.

The wins kept coming for the Badgers as Ricky Robertson (174), Ryan Christensen (184) and Eric Peissig (197) each recorded decisions.

Peissig’s win snapped a six-match losing streak. It was Peissig’s first win in a dual meet since the season opener against UW-Whitewater back on Nov.12.

Brock Horwath kept things rolling for Wisconsin with a major decision at heavyweight.

Johnny Jimenez (125) made it six straight wins for the Badgers with a 7-2 win over Michael Beck.

Maryland (5-12, 1-8) won the final two bouts of the day, including No.12 Geoff Alexander’s 8-6 upset over No.7 Ryan Taylor.

Taylor, who did not wrestle Friday in Wisconsin’s dual with Ohio State, saw his record fall to 3-4 on the season. All four of his losses have come to ranked opponents.

The Badgers are back in action Thursday with a non-conference road dual with Central Michigan (9-5).
