i totally mis-read this as saying you want kraft and parsons to play their ass off in chicago. i think i need to take a nap.
Broncos beat the Packers 34-26

I think they'd move better on crutches than Phil Rivers at any rate.

My thoughts (Again - watching the game through shout and ESPN Gamecast because I was working):
Things I didn't like:
1) And, this is huge. Once again, Somebody wrote in that the Pack was less enthusiastic and fired up then our opponent early. I just don't get it. It's every freakin' game.
2) Idiotic play. Far too frequently, the Pack plays like football mental midgets.
3) For most of the game. McKinney our safety was our leading tackler. Having a safety as a leading tackler doesn't sound like good defense. And, it's not the first time this has happened.
4) The intestinal fortitude of our guys. Lots of injuries to key players. Why the hell aren't guys stepping up? These are golden opportunities to become starters and stars and earn kabillions. What the hell is the matter with our guys? It sounds more like our defense curled into a fetal position after Parsons injury than even tried to go on the warpath. What the hell? Where is Gary? Where is the mystical LVN?
Things that are survivable:
1) Love is good - frequently very good - sometimes great. Unfortunately, we need consistent greatness. I know today wasn't all on him. But we do need more from him - we just do. He's going to have to be the stud we paid him to be next week.
2) Offensive strategy and/or execution. We need better. I think the hounds need to be unleashed more. And, they need to perform.
Playoffs - Surprisingly all is not lost:
* The Buccaneers or the Panthers can get to 10 wins - But both can't. One will win the NFC South. They play each other twice. But, only one can get to 10 wins. So that probably keeps the team that does not win the South from leapfrogging us in the playoffs.
* So, the Lions are probably the only team that can knock us out. They still have a legit chance of getting 11 wins. They host the Steelers, then travel to the Vikings and Bears.
I still think we need 11 wins. As everybody knows, we travel to the Bears next Saturday, host the Ravens the following Saturday, and travel to Minnesota. We need 2 more wins.
If we make the playoffs, we're probably playing the Bears.

Tough loss with a bad back-drop of multiple serious injuries. They'll likely still make the playoffs but the thought of a deep run is now gone. Time to buckle down and play out the rest of the season as best you can and see if you can get things fixed for next year.

if we lose two of the next three, and the bears also lose two of the next three, then we probably squeak in as the 7th seed and play the eagles in the wildcard round. if chicago wins two of the next three and we lose all three, we're probably still the 7th seed and we play the bears in the wild card round.

Our offensive line allowed the Broncos to perform 28.89% better than they had all season. That's almost 1/3 better. That's atrocious. I understand Tom got hurt. But that's just damn unacceptable. Even with all of our other holes, the offensive line is the weak damn link in this team.
It's not going to improve. They are NOT miraculously going to find balls and a backbone. So, the offensive strategy has to be adjusted to account for the lack of ability.
Mr. LaFleur, it's on you. You have to adjust. Find a way. do it - dammit!
