Green Bay's QB has his new tight end excited, the team's offensive line depth will affect its 2017 starters, and several banged-up players continue to hope for a full workload soon.
Green Bay Packers fans got their first taste of the 2016 team on Tuesday, with the team practicing in front of the public for the first time this year. Following practice, however, we got our first taste of player interviews from the locker room, many of which helped to shed a little light on the events of practice and the team's hopes for this season.
One player who spoke at length was new signing Jared Cook, who mentioned his new quarterback as a big reason for his signing in Green Bay. Read more on that below, as well as the way that said quarterback tries to make himself available to his new receivers in an effort to make them feel more comfortable with him.
Meanwhile, the Packers' offensive line has some question marks - at least looking ahead to 2017. The top seven or so players on that unit seem pretty solid, but four of them will be free agents next year and the players that they are able to keep around this season could impact the way the line looks next year.
Finally, we will take a look at a couple of players who missed significant time in 2015 and who sat out all or parts of practice yesterday. Check out all that and more in today's curds below!

Cook has a challenge adapting to the Packers' offense compared to the schemes he played in back in St. Louis, but one thing that makes it all worth it is the chance to play with a quarterback like Aaron Rodgers.

Speaking of Rodgers, he has just two players (Cook and Jordy Nelson) at receiving positions who were born before 1990. Many of them are cautious about approaching the two-time MVP, so he tries to make himself approachable and seek them out in the locker room.

Nelson wishes he could do everything this week and throughout spring practices, but he's more focused on the start of training camp in July and the start of the regular season.

While Nelson continues to push for more work (likely in vain), several other players, including Barrington and Ty Montgomery, sat out Tuesday's practice as well.
