Isaac Jordan took care of business against Ohio State on Friday night.

Unfortunately for Wisconsin, the same can’t be said of the vast majority of his teammates as the Badgers fell to the host Buckeyes 34-6 in a Big Ten dual.

Jordan, who is ranked third in the nation at 165 pounds, moved to 19-0 on the season with a 6-4 win over his cousin, No.2 Bo Jordan, in the opening match of the evening.

Isaac jumped out to a 4-2 lead with a pair of takedowns in the opening three minutes. He notched another takedown in the second to hold a 6-3 lead after two. Isaac then held Bo to just one escape in the final frame to emerge victorious.

Friday marked just the second time the Jordan cousins have squared off in their collegiate careers. The last meeting was in the championship match of last year’s Big Ten Tournament where Isaac also emerged victorious.

Bo now sports a career record of 58-3, with two of those three losses coming to Isaac.

The Badgers’ only other win came courtesy of Andrew Crone who bested Hunter Stieber in sudden victory, 6-4, for his fourth straight win.

With the score knotted at 3-3 after the first period, Stieber tallied an escape to grab a on-point edge. Crone answered with an escape of his own in the third and won the match with a takedown in the first sudden victory period.

The other story of the night for UW involved Jens Lantz getting the start at 133 pounds in favor of No.7 Ryan Taylor.

Lantz fell to No.15 Johnni DiJulius 10-2. It was just the second start of the year for the redshirt freshman who also got the nod against UW-Whitewater in the season opener back on Nov.12.

The reigning national champion Buckeyes move to 10-3 on the season and 7-2 in the Big Ten.

Friday marked UW’s seventh straight dual against a ranked opponent. That streak ends Sunday when Wisconsin (2-7, 1-6 Big Ten) partakes in its final Big Ten road dual of the season, squaring off with Maryland (4-11, 1-7). Start time is 10:30 a.m. (CT).
