Official Green Bay vs Washington Wild Card Game Thread

I think MM will come out with a whole new package of unscouted looks. Motions, scheme changes, alignments to get the WR's open and this totally rocks the Redskins. MM see's the light and saves his career because he proves that he can adapt and be flexible. The team is rejuvenated and becomes a force to be reckoned with. Super Bowl run begins Sunday.

Hope is alive. If we get 'well' against anyone it would be the Redskins. MM couldn't pick a better time to silence the 'negativity' he complained about. Can 'Pittsburgh Macho' check his ego and come out throwing the ball? Put the ball in your best player's hand and throw caution to the wind? Attack instead of establish? Would love to see it, just doubt MM has had that epiphany yet.

IF Shields and Bak return...I think we win somewhat easily, 27-13.
IF Macho Mike can't loosen the reins we fall..24-19. (Redzone fails)

For all of you that think we will win this game, you need to take off the rose colored glasses.

Nothing is going to change. It has not changed for what 9 weeks now. MM will not have an epiphany, our WRs will not all of a sudden run good routes and get open, AR will not all of a sudden become accurate throwing, and Lacy will not all of a sudden start running for an average of 6 yards per carry. This offense is what it is. Not to be like half empty thumbsup but this team has over a 50% CHANCE of losing on Sunday.

Green Bay's left tackle is still not practicing as the team begins preparations for Sunday's playoff game.

For those Green Bay Packers fans hoping that Wednesday would bring some good news on the injury front, we're sorry to report that you will be disappointed.

For the third straight week, starting left tackle David Bakhtiari has not practiced with the team on Wednesday. In fact, the last time Bakhtiari was on the field was during the team's week 15 game in Oakland. In the two games since, Don Barclay and Josh Sitton have manned the position with disappointing results. With Washington's top pass rusher Ryan Kerrigan on deck on Sunday, it's tough to imagine much better results this week.

Meanwhile, five other Packers joined Bakhtiari on the sidelines today, including Sitton. However, Sitton's practice load has decreased as the season goes along and he reported no significant issues following last Sunday's game at Lambeau Field, so there is no cause for concern about his availability yet.

Here's the Packers' full injury report for Wednesday.

This team is too injured and IMO right now there is to much division in this team be it among players themselves and coaches. This team needs to start prepping for the future as it needs to start looking for players to replace our aging and oft injured stars. Also this team needs to improve the coaching and how it acquires talent. Sad to say I see things just going down hill for GB for a few years before they start a upward climb. But hey every team goes up and down hill at some point. GB had 5-6 good years going up hill. Lets just hope the down hill run does not last that long.

Sam Shields must be really banged up badly. Has anyone heard anything about him?

If anyone gets a chance, go read the Spofford article on Packers.com about the Packers galvanizing for the playoff run. Funny to read a quote about how it's time to flip the switch and start putting up points in the playoffs.

the heart of a champion is always on... you don't flip it on and off like a light switch... you don't all of a sudden go from not fighting, to fighting enough to win playoff games....

but ya, THIS week will be different :)

This one smells close and for the first time in 3 weeks I kind of like the match up after scouting the skins last week.
