Packers 2025-26 Season Thread

So regarding our wonderful Extra Point Field Goal Blocking, according to La Fleur:

The furthest outside blocker is an extra outside blocker.
The guy to the inside of the furthest outside blocker is actually in the Tight End Position.

I believed and I think it's almost universal that the blocking goes inside to outside with the ideal that you don't let anybody have an inside run at the kick but that if somebody gets free they have the longest path to the kicked ball.

Here's what the Packers do:

The furthest outside extra outside blocker blocks the furthest outside opponent 1 on 1.

The guy in the Tight End Blocking position blocks the guy in front of them but sticks their arm out to slow down the guy who is inside the opponent's outside rusher.

Tourism Fedaration of Wisconsin?
  • This probably looks great on paper and on paper appears to create wider blocking fortress.
  • Maybe this works in Pee Wee Football where the athletes are just little guys some who don't care, some who don't want to get hit by the ball, some who don't want to get hit by that menacing arm
    • But:
      • I can't see a fast strong one of the best 1,700 football players in the world who isn't afraid of anything and wants to make an impression being afraid of an arm.
      • I can't see that fast strong one of the best 1,700 football players in the world who isn't afraid of anything and wants to make an impression being slowed down by an arm
      • fast strong one of the best 1,700 football players in the world who isn't afraid of anything and wants to make an impression not having a woody thinking he only has to go through an arm
  • Obviously, works as well as my lines on chicks
  • Even if it works, isn't it prone to HOLDING???!!!
I apologize to Kraft and Musgrave who did what they were coached to do by our brain trust.

I'd be saying how does Bisacia still have a job, except for LaFleur agreed to this strategy so ultimately it's not his fault.

They can make it simple, just watch tape of teams who DONT get FG blocked with regularity and copy them. Shouldn’t be that hard.

JUST IN: The Packers and WR Romeo Doubs have begun internal discussions about a contract extension, via
@JFowlerESPN

I don't buy it. GB can't pay everyone. I go and sign Walker and Wyatt to new deals before Doubs. You just spend 2 draft picks on WR so why resign Doubs.
