the one thing that i will say is that i can understand why some people feel this way. golden has been targeted 23 times so far this season, has 18 receptions (78.3%), and zero drops. it has been a while since we've had a receiver that has been that reliable. i was skeptical when we drafted him because he had a high percentage of drops in college, but i've done a 180 on that. However anyone feels about it, it's past time for people to get it through their heads that ML wants that 50/50 run pass split. You get 60 offensive snaps, that means 30 passes. We going to run 1/3 of the passing offense through Matthew Golden?
by comparison, doubs has had 36 targets, caught 24 (67%), and also has zero drops.
kraft has had 32 targets, has caught 23 (71.9%) and has one drop (3.1%)
wicks has had 20 targets, has caught 13 (65%), and has one drop (5%).
so you can kind of understand why fans might want golden (a 1st round pick) to have a similar number of targets as doubs and kraft.
