Maybe he should not went out on a limb for a guy who was a back end of the roster player with no guarantee he was making the roster.
I'm all in on agreement with what you said. My take, was that Aaron felt like he was made to look like a fool, after he went on media to sing this guy's praises and then Kumerow was cut. It cut at his ego. Again, not that it was the sole reason for the situation but it speaks to the fragility of his ego, imo.I am thinking the Kumerow deal is being overstated out there, no doubt Aaron feels like he went out on a limb to support that guy BUT...
It's ML job to put together a roster of players that he and his staff think had the best chance to win a SB, they got within 1 game of doing so. Sorry, Aaron, I think your HC and GM got that right.
Again " it's the HC and GM job to put together a roster they feel can win a championship"
2 things. #1 it brings the “trust “ factor into the conversation. Clearly he has his guys he trusts and are give him that comfort level. #2 I don’t think he thinks he went out on a limb. It’s his evaluation of the guy and he not a guy who will change course.Maybe he should not went out on a limb for a guy who was a back end of the roster player with no guarantee he was making the roster.
Gets back to value. Team must have need and assets. I don’t think this becomes a mass exodus out of GB. Now how it impact FA’s in the future and how they perceive GB remains to be seen. This is where ML comes in. He has to sell the program and keep the business side separate. That’s not in Gutes or Murphy’s DNAI am thinking it's 70% chance next off-season we trade Adams in a tag and trade when he refuses to resign in GB.
If players want to get paid and play football, I don’t see this impacting future free agents coming to GB.Gets back to value. Team must have need and assets. We are getting to see inside the mind of a classic narcissist with the things that are coming out about AR.I think it was a way to exert his power. Test his street cred. At this point in his career, he believes he should have substantial input into personnel decisions and on field stuff. Any perceived slighting of that, rips at his ego. I truly believe that he feels disrespected. That's not saying he's right, just that his perception, is a driving force in what's going on.
