I know nothing on this one. Might make a back up center.

I’m not advocating this idea, just putting it out for thought/discussion.
With all the OL additions, consider that if these new IOL guys show early promise in TC, and the Packers feel enough comfort with Lucas Patrick as starting Center, they could gain nearly $13M in cap space by releasing Taylor and Linsley.
It would give them enough cap relief that they could likely do extensions for both Clark and A.J., then Bakhtiari would be the only priority FA they need to sign in 2021 as I don’t consider King as high a need as Bakhtiari.

I believe that is the plan. They gotta pay a lot of guys next year. Aaron Jones might have to take a slight discount.

I dont think Jones will be back in GB if he is looking for high end money like 8+ average a year he wants that he will have to try to find it on FA. Now if he wants to be in the 5 range I could see a deal getting done.

And you might get that if you do a deal early because it provides him financial security in case of injury that knocks him out for the whole season and diminishes his market value.
Don’t forget, he finished both his first two seasons on IR.
Last year is the outlier

Teams seem to be committed to the theory that almost all RBs have a short playing span. At the most, about 6 years, and if they've been overworked in HS and college, it could be less. That's what we've seen with so many over the last 20 years that it's baffling. I'm not certain what's happened to these guys, but the old "work horse" RB is totally a thing of the past.
