Packers 2022-23 Schedule

On paper it’s the 11th easiest.

But looks can be deceiving.
Remember that goes off last years finish of teams so you can take very little into that as teams change from last year to this year.

So hard to gauge this early, hate the late bye week. Having to grind 13 weeks before then can leave your butt hanging out in terms of injuries.

I am not and never have liked early division games, prefer to get a month in before playing those. tc(

When talking about having a tough schedule or easy schedule, it's two different components: 1. there's difficulty of opponents, and 2. there's difficulty of the sequence of games, travel, and breaks. It's only a guess what the 1. will look like because teams change year over year, so I put that aside for now. But 2. looks tough. I don't know where the league gets off giving ANY team a bye at week 14. That makes absolutely no sense to me, and the competition committee should do something useful and tighten up the window for bye weeks.

Pure speculation on bye weeks. I would suspect networks are guaranteed a minimum number of games per week since both have 2 SUNDAY windows, 1p and 4:25p. You then have to account for 2 national games on Sunday eve, Monday and Thursday

All I care about is that we can get all 17 games on local TV, Amazon, and NFL Network down here in Texas, this coming winter. They were all available last year so spending money on DirecTV, etc, was a waste of time.

Since my cable package includes NFL Network, I'm set there, and since we use Amazon Prime constantly for TV viewing, and purchases, I'm quite satisfied.

Now, I heard you can use a VPN to spoof the streaming broadcasts into believing you're in a local market, but can't vouch for it. I suppose that's an option, for a couple of bucks a month. I even heard it worked overseas.

Some random thoughts on the schedule for this year:

I think it shapes up favorably. It's not hard to see another 12 or 13 win season and another Division Championship.

It seems there will be 1 "big" game every month; TB-Sept, Buffalo-Oct, Titans-Nov, and Rams-Dec. The games in between should be very winnable.
We'll find out soon enough how we stack up against the powerhouse teams when we play ay Tampa Bay in Week 3.

The 3 road games in October suck, but at least there aren't any on the West Coast. MLF will have to be careful with managing their rest and workout periods.

I love having 3 out of the last 4 games at home. Having the Rams on the 19th after the bye week is sweet, and finishing with the Vikes and Loins outside is the icing on the cookies.

I will say 10-7 ths year. That hard stretch of road games and no break to week 14 and no #1 WR GB losses a few more games then it did last year. Still a playoff team though.

Packers defense will win a few games for them this year.
And ST’s won’t lose them any.
I agree with 78 that 12-5 or 13-4 is very doable, and could be even better if Watson and Doubs show out.
