Amazon Prime and NFL Thursday Night Football

Number is 13m…That number includes the local broadcast viewers in Los Angeles and Kansas City. So educated guess based on LA and KC ratings 11.8m for streaming alone …Still above expectations

They did well on their estimate. Surprisingly so. Usually people intend to inflate their expectations. They seemed to have their heads screwed on right.

I'm anxious to see how the Battle of Ohio comes out as far as ratings. As little as people think about those two teams, they do have a broad area of appeal throughout that area.

Some theory’s on the numbers but would i would like to know is minutes watched. Streams are counted differently than linear TV, as an example Netflix used to consider 2 minutes viewed as a complete episode. They have changed their algorithms lately so while better still shakes. Linear is measured by quarter hour viewing. To that point not sure how Amazon counts impressions

It's interesting how they count their viewers. I got to thinking, about how I watched the Bengals-Steelers last night. Essentially I didn't, but I did keep go out to Prime a half dozen time son my phone, to pull up the game, and check the score. Inveritably, as it always seems in watching in this era, there was advertising on, so I had to wait a couple of minutes until it was over to get the score. I wasn't on more than 3 minutes at most, at any time. Is that going to count as one impression, or six? Interesting.

Sometimes numbers don't represent what we think they do.

One impression. Your IP address is what tracks and keeps tabs

Steelers / Bengals
-11.03 including local affiliate numbers
-Amazon Prime had about 9.8M

I'm glad they got the video fixed mid second game. There are threads all over the place on how crappy it was before that. Hoping that it's fixed for tonight's whole game.

I have to say, I like Kirk Herbstreit with Al Michaels way more than Michaels with Collinsworth.

8.785M viewers for Commanders/Bears TNF. included in that total is the viewing on local broadcast affiliates: in Chicago 833,000. DC.379,000 ….:so 7.57m on Amazon
